Lakmé is one of those go-to brands that many people buy their everyday makeup from. Be it eyeliners, kajals, or lipsticks, when it comes to makeup basics, the brand’s accessibility and wide availability across India make it a convenient one to get makeup essentials from.

Amongst these makeup essentials is a good nude lipstick. It’s something that one wears often and frequently repurchases, so it’s crucial to pick a pretty one that’s easy to find and buy again. Hence, we list our favourites from Lakmé and swatch them, so the next time you’re on the hunt for a nice nude lip shade, you know what to get.

Colour: Ballet slipper pink nude

A pale, creamy nude lipstick to pair with heavy smokey eyes, this light pink hue is great for those who like a Kim Kardashian-style lip look. It feels really smooth to apply and is great for those with dry lips, and it’s comfortable to wear, too.

A beautiful mauve-tinged nude, this is a lovely colour for that rosy-nude look. It’s not the most opaque and matte formula and needs to be layered, but that’s actually not a bad thing because it looks more natural and less cakey. Plus, since it can be built-up for an opaque finish, you get the best of both worlds. The fact that there’s a handy lip-brush in the package is an added bonus.

Arguably the best nude lipstick from Lakme, this is ultra comfortable to wear, glides on the lips effortlessly, and feels luxurious and creamy despite being shine-free and matte for the most part. Quite pigmented, it offers one-swipe colour payoff, too.

One of the most popular nude lipsticks from Lakmé, this shade makes it to nearly every makeup guru’s list of the best desi lipsticks for dusky skin. A gorgeous chocolate hue, this is a non-sticky, powdery, shine-free matte which lasts long and is pigmented enough for you to cover the entire lips by dipping the wand into the tube just once. The affordable price is the icing on the cake.

Colour: Warm pink-toned pale nude

This lip colour definitely has a heavier formula, and is ideal for those who want a long-lasting, thick liquid lipstick. It’s pigmented and opaque like most liquid matte lip products. The colour is on the paler side, so some might want to pair it with a darker lip liner.

Colour: Peachy-pink with brown tones

The best nude lipsticks are the ones which have numerous undertones, ranging from peach and pink to brown, and this one ticks that box. It looks skin-like and natural on a lot of skin tones, so it’s a great blind buy even for those who haven’t swatched it on themselves. The formula is matte and long-lasting. Luckily, it’s not one of those thick and sticky liquid lipsticks even though it’s powdery-matte and long-wearing.

While this colour looks really bright and red-adjacent on lighter skin, it’s a beautiful my-lips-but-better neutral for darker skin tones. It freshens up the face and enhances the warmth in golden and yellow-toned skin with its rusty brick tones.
