Ask any cat owner and they'll tell you it's called fur-niture for a good reason. Because most feline pets are bound to shed their fur all over it.
A woman from Japan decided to put all this fur to good use by creating matching slippers and gloves for her cat – turning him into a viral sensation in the process.
Minira, a one-year-old Minuet breed, already had an online presence but after his owner posted the footage of him wearing the furry items she'd created, his YouTube following rocketed to more than 85 000 subscribers.

“How do I make these cute slippers? That's excellent!” someone commented.
Although Minira's owner didn't offer advice, another TikTok user was happy to pitch in with a useful tutorial. Using a glove brush to collect all the shed fur, she layered the hairs onto a sheet and then cut it to size, folding it in the shape of a slipper and/or glove and securing it with glue.

Minira also has more than 24 000 followers on Twitter, where his unnamed owner shares daily updates on all his antics. She also started his YouTube channel, Minira Diary, in August 2020 and has uploaded over 100 videos which have notched up thousands of views.
One video shows Minira’s morning routine. The feline starts his day at 6:30am, followed by some snuggles and playtime with his owner at 8:30am. Then he has breakfast at 8:45am, more playtime at 9am, and finally nap time at 9:30am.

In another video, Minira is seen enjoying a spa day with a face mask. His owner also likes to read to him and play dress-up but his favourite activity seems to be lazing on the bed.
One thing's for sure, with furry slippers, gloves and a comfy bed, Minara must think he's the cat's pyjamas!
