TikTok user @BrittBarbie3 has gone viral (again!) for a new slang-based catchphrase-turned-debut song.

It all started when Britt Barbie shared a haul of back to school items in a video posted to TikTok on Aug. 20. After revealing each item to the camera, she exclaimed, “Period, ahh."

Evidentially, people thought it was hilarious and the video racked up millions of views, with Britt Barbie eventually using the phrase in subsequent haul videos.

Her followers couldn’t get enough and Britt Barbie continued to use the slang with dramatic delivery, complete with tongue flicking.

After teasing her followers with various clips of her singing the catchphrase, she released an official song called "Period Ahh" (or “Period Ahh Period Uhh") under the name Britt Barbie.

The song is available to stream on YouTube and TikTok.

Now, real rappers and artists including Yung Baby Tate, Bebe Rexha and Chloe Bailey are stitching the song, putting their own spins on Britt Barbie's viral phenom by adding their own tongue-in-cheek verses.

You might be wondering why Britt Barbie looks so familiar.

The teen first went viral in early 2022 when she shared the moment she realized hair grows from the scalp. She previously believed hair grew from the ends of the follicles.

"Is there hair in my head? Like actually ... like in there? Where is it coming from? Like, I'm scared for real. I don't know... Is it like, in my forehead?" she questioned in the clip, which was viewed millions of times.

"Period!" or "Periodt!" is used to emphasize the conclusion of a statement. The slang largely originated from African American Vernacular English, also known as AAVE. According to The List, “there's a pattern in AAVE where the final ‘d’ of a word can be pronounced as a ‘t.’”
